At the crux of the anguish of most OCD sufferers is the obsessive thought. The originator of the obsessive compulsive cycle, it is the result of a genetic predisposition that is given size and shape by childhood influences. My brain was born with the tendency to obsess, and compulse (I’m inventing the word, shh!) accordingly….
